BIRMINGHAM, Ala., February 7th, 2013—Lady Bass Anglers Association, (LBAA), a nation-wide women’s pro bass fishing tour, has announced their NEW payout schedule for the 2013 season. The new levels on both the pro and co-angler is a significant increase from years past.

“We continue to gain significant interest in our tour as we head into our third year of operation,“ said LBAA co-founder Cheryl Bowden. “We want to reach more women across the nation with a message to “come join us” and with the addition of more money in our payouts, we hope that will entice more participants.

“ Additionally, the 2013 LBAA Women’s Pro Bass Tour will add live streaming, larger venues, a bigger footprint and greater media coverage to make this year’s tour bigger and better than ever. “The NEW LBAA Pro Tour is vastly different than what any of our anglers have seen in the past,” explained co-founder Secret York. “We have partnered with Southern Sports Group, who is responsible for all the new marketing elements that you will see this year. We are super excited about elevating the tour to a higher exposure level so that more people can see the skill these women bring to the sport of bass fishing."

“Top Payouts for 2013”

The 2013 payout levels have more than tripled from previous years making the LBAA Women’s Pro Tour the highest paid bass fishing tour exclusively for women in the Unites States. These increases will be seen on both the “pro” and the “co-angler” side, with equal distribution of the increased funding.

Still in place will be the LBAA Women’s Pro Tour contingency programs that will allow for even more money and products to be won on top of the increased payouts. Some of these contingency programs in place for 2013 are: Legend Boats, Boat US Angler Weigh-to-Win, Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks, Rayjus, Wear-it-to-Win, Skeeter Real Money, Triton Boats Gold, Phoenix First Flight, Bass Cat Quest, and Power-Pole Captain’s Catch.

“New WILDCARD Tournament”

The LBAA Women’s Pro Tour will offer a special qualifier for the LBAA Classic Championship, called the LBAA Wildcard Tournament to be held on September 12th – 14th, 2013 in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA on the waters of the Red River.

Typically, advancing to the LBAA “Classic” would be the top 10 pros and co-anglers based upon a season ending point system. Under the NEW LBAA tour format, this LBAA Wildcard Tournament will allow the top two pro and co-anglers to advance directly into the Classic field. “This tournament stop will be held the month before the Classic and we expect to attract new anglers that did not fish our tour, yet want a chance to make our championship tournament, as well as some of our current pros and co-anglers still looking to boost their points to make the Classic field, “ says Bowden.

“We still have some exciting things in store for 2013 that we are not ready to let out of the bag yet, but the addition of more payout money and our Wildcard Tournament are two elements that we just couldn’t wait any longer to shout about! We know the added money will give more incentive to new anglers out there wanting to see what the LBAA Women’s Pro Tour is all about and the Wildcard Tournament should make for an exciting end to the regular season and bring lots of great anglers to the beautiful waters of the Red River,” added York.
